Connecting Your Social Media Accounts

This section applies only if you are a Real View customer who chooses to connect a TikTok, Instagram, or YouTube account so that clips from your camera can be posted to it. Connecting an account is entirely optional and the service works without it.

What we access, and why. When you connect an account, the platform asks for your permission and then gives us an access token. We never see or store your password. We use that token for one purpose only: to publish or draft the video posts that you have reviewed and approved in the Real View customer panel. We do not read your messages, your followers, or your existing content, and we do not post anything to your account that you have not approved.

• What we store: the access and refresh tokens issued by the platform, your account identifier and username on that platform, and the status of posts we have published on your behalf.
• Where posts go: to your account. Real View does not publish your content to any Real View-owned account.
• Scope: we request only the permissions needed to upload and publish video — for YouTube, youtube.upload; for Instagram, content publishing on your linked Business or Creator account; for TikTok, video upload and publish.

Google user data. Real View's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We do not use Google user data for advertising, we do not sell it, and we do not allow humans to read it except where you have expressly permitted it, where it is necessary for security purposes or to comply with applicable law, or where the data has been aggregated and anonymised.

Disconnecting. You can disconnect a platform at any time from Connected Accounts in the Real View customer panel, which deletes the stored tokens for that platform. You can also revoke our access directly from the platform — via Google Account permissions, your Instagram or Facebook business integrations settings, or your TikTok account settings. Revoking access stops any further posting immediately. Posts already published to your account remain yours and are managed by you on that platform.

Data Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. However, no method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
