Acceptance of Terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Real View application, website, and related services (together, the "Service"), operated by Real View ("we," "our," or "us"). By creating an account, installing the app, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
The Service
Real View turns a screen into a "virtual window," streaming ambient and scenic video from real cameras around the world to smart TVs, streaming devices, and web browsers.
Real View operates as a marketplace that connects independent streamers ("creators") with viewers. Much of the content available through the Service is supplied by creators and other third parties rather than produced by us.
We offer a free, ad-supported tier and optional paid subscription plans. We may add, change, or remove features, content, and streams at any time. Streams depend on third-party cameras, networks, and providers, so specific views and their availability are not guaranteed.
Accounts
Some features require an account. You agree to provide accurate information, keep your password secure, and accept responsibility for activity that occurs under your account. You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. Notify us promptly of any unauthorized use.
Subscriptions and Billing
The free tier is supported by advertising. Paid plans provide additional features as described at the point of purchase.
- Paid subscriptions are billed through the app store or payment provider you sign up with, and renew automatically until cancelled.
- You can cancel at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and you retain access until then.
- Prices may change; we will give reasonable notice before any change affects you.
- Refunds are handled in line with the policy of the store or provider you purchased through and your statutory rights.
Acceptable Use
The Service is provided for your personal, non-commercial use unless you hold a commercial licence (see below). You agree not to:
- Copy, record, redistribute, rebroadcast, or publicly perform streams except as expressly permitted;
- Reverse engineer, interfere with, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service;
- Use the Service unlawfully or in a way that harms others or disrupts the Service.
Commercial and Public Display
Displaying Real View in a business or other public setting (for example a cafe, hotel, waiting room, gym, or healthcare space) requires a commercial licence. Commercial licensing includes the public performance rights needed for those settings. See our Commercial page or contact us for details.
Content and Intellectual Property
The Service and its content — including video streams, software, designs, and trademarks — are owned by Real View, our partners, and our content creators, and are protected by intellectual property laws. We grant you a limited, personal, revocable, non-transferable licence to access the Service for its intended purpose. No other rights are granted.
Marketplace and Creator Content
A significant portion of the content available through the Service is provided by creators and other third parties, not created or owned by Real View.
Creators are solely responsible for ensuring they hold all rights, licences, and permissions needed to stream their content — including both the video and the audio (such as music, soundtracks, and background sound) — and for complying with all applicable laws. By supplying a stream, a creator represents and warrants that they hold those rights.
As a marketplace, Real View does not produce, own, or pre-screen creator and third-party content and is not responsible or liable for it. We may add, remove, or disable any content at our discretion, and we will act on valid rights complaints — see "Contact Us" to report content.
YouTube Streams
Some streams are YouTube videos shown through YouTube's standard embedded player. These play directly from YouTube and may display YouTube's own advertising, branding, and player controls, which are outside our control. YouTube streams are always free to watch and are not part of any paid subscription. Your use of embedded YouTube content is also subject to YouTube's and Google's terms and privacy policies.
Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not guarantee that the Service or any particular stream will be uninterrupted, error-free, or available at all times.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Real View will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential losses arising from your use of the Service. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
Suspension and Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service if you breach these Terms or use the Service in a way that may cause harm or legal exposure. You may stop using the Service and close your account at any time.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the updated Terms on this page and revise the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales will have jurisdiction over any dispute, without affecting any mandatory consumer protections available to you where you live.
