Acceptance of Terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Real View application, website, and related services (together, the "Service"), operated by Real View TV Ltd ("Real View," "we," "our," or "us"), a company registered in England and Wales under company number 16284963, with its registered office at 71–75 Shelton Street, London, England, WC2H 9JQ. By creating an account, installing the app, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

The Service

Real View turns a screen into a "virtual window," streaming ambient and scenic video from real cameras around the world to smart TVs, streaming devices, and web browsers.

Real View operates as a marketplace that connects independent streamers ("creators") with viewers. Much of the content available through the Service is supplied by creators and other third parties rather than produced by us.

We offer a free, ad-supported tier and optional paid subscription plans. We may add, change, or remove features, content, and streams at any time. Streams depend on third-party cameras, networks, and providers, so specific views and their availability are not guaranteed.

Accounts

Some features require an account. You agree to provide accurate information, keep your password secure, and accept responsibility for activity that occurs under your account. You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. Notify us promptly of any unauthorized use.

Subscriptions and Billing

The free tier is supported by advertising. Paid plans provide additional features as described at the point of purchase.

• Paid subscriptions are billed through the app store or payment provider you sign up with, and renew automatically until cancelled.
• You can cancel at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and you retain access until then.
• Prices may change; we will give reasonable notice before any change affects you.
• Refunds are handled in line with the policy of the store or provider you purchased through and your statutory rights.

Acceptable Use

The Service is provided for your personal, non-commercial use unless you hold a commercial licence (see below). You agree not to:

• Copy, record, redistribute, rebroadcast, or publicly perform streams except as expressly permitted;
• Reverse engineer, interfere with, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service;
• Use the Service unlawfully or in a way that harms others or disrupts the Service.

Commercial and Public Display

Displaying Real View in a business or other public setting (for example a cafe, hotel, waiting room, gym, or healthcare space) requires a commercial licence. Commercial licensing includes the public performance rights needed for those settings. See our Commercial page or contact us for details. Our business screens services are covered by the Business Screens section below.

Business Screens

This section applies to our business screens services, including Waiting Room Screens and Care Home Screens (real-view.tv/solutions/waiting-rooms, real-view.tv/solutions/care-homes) and any other screens subscription for a business, venue or care setting (the "Screens Service"). The Screens Service is provided to businesses. Where this section differs from the rest of these Terms, this section applies to the Screens Service.

What is included. The Screens Service consists of:

• access to the Real View business collection of live views, licensed for public display in your venue;
• a control panel from which you build display streams, choose views and their timings, and upload and schedule your own adverts and notices;
• a Real View player for each screen covered by your subscription, which plugs into your television and plays the display stream you assign to it. Each player remains our property and is returned to us when that screen’s subscription ends; and
• reporting on which of your screens have been on and what has played on them.

The Screens Service does not include any camera, recording or monitoring at your premises unless your order includes a camera plan. If it does, we supply one or more Real View plug-and-play cameras placed at your premises to show a view of your choosing (for example a garden) on your screens, together with the features of the plan you choose. Each camera remains our property, is charged per camera per month, and is returned to us when that plan ends. The camera is positioned to frame the view and not residents, patients, customers, staff or visitors. The views in the collection change as cameras are added, and we may improve how the Screens Service works, provided the changes do not materially reduce the service you have paid for.

Subscription and term. The Screens Service is charged per screen (and per camera for any camera plan). A contract is formed when we confirm your account in writing. Unless your order says otherwise, a monthly subscription runs from month to month and either party may end it by giving 30 days’ written notice; an annual subscription runs for twelve months from the start date and renews for a further year unless either party gives 30 days’ written notice before the renewal date. You may add screens at any time, charged from the date each screen is added.

Charges and payment. Charges are as published on our website or as set out in your order, billed monthly or annually in advance. Unless stated otherwise, charges exclude VAT, which is added where applicable. No payment is taken when you sign up on the website; we contact you to arrange it. If a payment fails or is more than 14 days overdue, we may suspend the Screens Service until payment is received. We may change our prices for future billing periods on 30 days’ written notice.

Your screens and connection. You are responsible for the televisions in your venue, for power to them and to our players, for a Wi-Fi connection that can reach each player, and for taking reasonable care of our players and cameras while they are with you. We can advise on what works, and we will help you get your first screen running, but the screens and the connection are yours.

Licence to display. For as long as your subscription is active and paid, we grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to display the Real View business collection publicly on the screens covered by your subscription, at the premises you tell us about. That licence does not allow you to record, copy, rebroadcast, sub-license or make the views available online or to any screen that is not covered by your subscription.

Your content. You keep ownership of the images, videos and audio you upload as adverts and notices. You grant us the licence we need to store that content and play it on your screens. You confirm that you have the right to use it — including any music, images of people, logos and trade marks in it — and that it is lawful, accurate and not offensive. We may remove content that breaches these Terms or the law, and will tell you if we do.

Availability. We aim to keep the Screens Service running reliably but do not guarantee uninterrupted streaming. It depends on your venue’s power and internet connection, your screens, third-party networks and hosting providers. Where an individual view is unavailable, your display moves on to the next item so your screen keeps running.

Data protection. Our handling of personal data is described in our Privacy Policy. Viewers of your screens are not identified or tracked. Where content you upload contains personal data, you are the controller for it and we process it on your behalf. Each party agrees to comply with applicable data protection law.

Liability. Nothing in these Terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited. Subject to that, we are not liable for loss of profit, business or goodwill, or any indirect or consequential loss, or for interruptions caused by matters outside our reasonable control, including loss of your power or internet; and our total liability arising out of the Screens Service in any 12-month period is limited to the charges you paid for it in that period.

Ending the contract. Either party may end the contract by giving the notice set out above, or immediately if the other commits a serious breach that is not put right within a reasonable time, or becomes insolvent. On termination, charges accrued up to the end date remain payable, your licence to display the collection ends, your screens stop playing it, and you return our players and any cameras to us. You should download any of your own uploaded content you wish to keep before the contract ends.

Content and Intellectual Property

The Service and its content — including video streams, software, designs, and trademarks — are owned by Real View, our partners, and our content creators, and are protected by intellectual property laws. We grant you a limited, personal, revocable, non-transferable licence to access the Service for its intended purpose. No other rights are granted.

Marketplace and Creator Content

A significant portion of the content available through the Service is provided by creators and other third parties, not created or owned by Real View.

Creators are solely responsible for ensuring they hold all rights, licences, and permissions needed to stream their content — including both the video and the audio (such as music, soundtracks, and background sound) — and for complying with all applicable laws. By supplying a stream, a creator represents and warrants that they hold those rights.

As a marketplace, Real View does not produce, own, or pre-screen creator and third-party content and is not responsible or liable for it. We may add, remove, or disable any content at our discretion, and we will act on valid rights complaints — see "Contact Us" to report content.

YouTube Streams

Some streams are YouTube videos shown through YouTube's standard embedded player. These play directly from YouTube and may display YouTube's own advertising, branding, and player controls, which are outside our control. YouTube streams are always free to watch and are not part of any paid subscription. Your use of embedded YouTube content is also subject to YouTube's and Google's terms and privacy policies.

Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not guarantee that the Service or any particular stream will be uninterrupted, error-free, or available at all times.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Real View will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential losses arising from your use of the Service. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

Suspension and Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service if you breach these Terms or use the Service in a way that may cause harm or legal exposure. You may stop using the Service and close your account at any time.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the updated Terms on this page and revise the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales will have jurisdiction over any dispute, without affecting any mandatory consumer protections available to you where you live.
