For Wildlife Trusts and Conservation

Turning quiet supporters into committed ones

Conservation depends on people who feel connected enough to give, join and act. Real View helps you build that connection by bringing your reserve and its wildlife into supporters' homes, every day.

The challenge: engagement that fades between appeals

Most supporters hear from you a few times a year — an appeal, a newsletter, a membership renewal. Between those moments, the connection cools, and engagement is what underpins donations, memberships and volunteering. The wildlife you work to protect is genuinely compelling, yet most of your supporters rarely get to see it for themselves.

Real View helps you keep that connection alive. We place a live, real-time view of your reserve, hide or habitat in front of an audience, with your organisation named on screen. A nesting bird, a grazing herd or a quiet wetland at dawn does what a leaflet cannot: it gives supporters a daily reason to feel part of your work, and introduces your cause to people who have never visited.

Every person who watches your wildlife live becomes a little more invested in seeing it protected.

What it does for your organisation

Deeper engagement, broader awareness and stronger support — the foundations of fundraising.

🦉

Deepen supporter engagement

A live window onto your wildlife keeps supporters connected day after day, strengthening the relationship that underpins their giving and membership.

🌱

Raise awareness for your cause

Your organisation is named on screen with the view, carrying your mission to a wide, engaged audience and amplifying your message between campaigns.

🤝

Support fundraising and membership

A compelling live view is a natural companion to appeals and memberships, giving people a daily, tangible reason to feel part of what you do.

🌍

Reach beyond your visitors

Your habitat travels into homes and workplaces worldwide, introducing your work to people who may never visit in person but come to care about it.

How It Works

Whether you already run wildlife cameras or are setting one up, getting your view live is simple.

1

Connect your view

Already stream a camera online? We can work with your existing feed. Starting from scratch? The Real View Bridge — a small, pre-configured Raspberry Pi device — connects an ordinary camera to the platform with no technical work on your part.

2

We take it live

We handle the deployment. Your view goes live as a stable, broadcast-quality feed with your business named on screen — nothing for your team to manage day to day.

3

Reach your audience

Your view goes live in the free Real View app, with your business named on screen for everyone watching at home. You can run the very same view on a TV at your own venue, turning a screen by the door into a live window onto your location.

No camera yet? Our step-by-step setup guide lists the exact parts and includes our pre-configured Raspberry Pi image, so set-up stays simple and inexpensive.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is this difficult or disruptive to set up?
No. If you already stream wildlife cameras we can often use those feeds. Otherwise the Real View Bridge — a small, pre-configured device — connects a camera simply, and a fixed camera observes without disturbing wildlife.
What does it cost a charity?
Becoming a Real View Creator is free. You can share your view purely to raise awareness, or earn commission to support your work as your audience grows. We are happy to discuss what suits your organisation.
What are the technical requirements?
A camera with a clear view and a reliable internet connection. We handle the deployment and keep the feed running, so it does not draw on your team’s time.
How does it support our goals?
Your organisation is named on screen for everyone watching in the Real View app, carrying your cause to an engaged audience, and you can run the same view on a screen in your visitor centre. It sustains engagement between appeals and widens your reach — both drivers of support.
Do we keep control of the feed?
Entirely. You choose what the camera shows and can pause or change it at any time, which also lets you protect sensitive sites such as nesting sites when needed.
